About this Act
Silver & String are a Leeds-based classical flute and guitar duo consisting of Sophie Gill on flute and Henry Bateman on guitar. From the soul-stirring compositions of Villa-Lobos, to the playful melodies of Poulenc and the Brazilian rhythms of Macahdo, they have a hugely varied repetoire of stunning music, suitable for any occasion.
The duo specialise in wedding music, and have a stylish setlist specifically designed for wedding ceremonies and receptions, which includes many familiar meditative pieces by the likes of Bach, Mozart and Schumann as well as traditional processionals and recessionals by the likes of Mendelssohn, Purcell, Wagner and Handel.
