Antoine is based in Hull, but tends to accept work in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire areas, though he is quite prepared to travel further for higher paid and particularly prestigious bookings as long as travel costs/time are covered.
Antoine is a versatile, highly accomplished and experienced pianist and self-accompanied singer, with an extensive and diverse repertoire of completely memorised cover songs and piano instrumentals from several eras and genres.
He can be booked in one of three main ways:
1. as a background instrumental pianist for wedding ceremonies/receptions, restaurants and cocktail bars,
2. as a background singer/pianist in the same environment.
3. As an upfront self-accompanied singer/entertainer particularly in pubs, or for wedding/corporate evening events, student events, and parties.
In this third capacity, Antoine is self-accompanied using both acoustic guitar and stage piano, which he freely alternates between. This keeps the music far more varied, and provides an interesting change of texture and style,. It makes it possible to cover a much wider range of material as some songs (particularly the livelier ones) are much better suited to guitar than piano.
As an evening entertainer, Antoine very much involves the audience right from the start, handing out his full repertoire lists and encouraging requests, along with witty and friendly banter. This approach is quite unique and seems to go down extremely well!
For weddings and ceremonies, there are packages available to reduce costs, by booking Antoine to perform in various ways rather than paying two different artists: i.e. background piano through the ceremony and/or reception, then live guitar/piano vocal entertainment for the evening event later on. This is certainly great value for money and saves a lot of unnecessary complication.
If a suitable piano is available for the background playing, this is the ideal option and will keep the cost down, but Antoine is more than happy to provide a digital piano if necessary, and also PA equipment for evening events, though not lighting.
What Antoine does not do is use any form of backing tracks, but that is one of many reasons why his performance stands apart from the typical solo performer or duo as it is always completely live.
Antoine can perform for several hours at a time if necessary and is very adaptable to the requirements of the event, venue or couple.
If you want to book something very different and very memorable, you will not be disappointed with what Antoine will bring to your special event.
As a pianist/singer, Antoine has played at many hotels and venues across the country, including: Lairgate Hotel, Lazaats, Cave Castle, Portland Hotel and Royal Hotel (Hull/E. Yorks area), Priest House Hotel (Castle Donington), The Lowry (Manchester), Cotswolds Water Park Hotel, The Mansion (Leeds), Sheffield Bar & Grill, Lincoln Events Centre, Ashford Manor Golf club (Middlesex) plus many others.
As a pub singer/entertainer, Antoine performs regularly public gigs at various pubs across East and North Yorkshire. Pubs he has played at include: the Victoria (Hornsea), Duke of York (Skirlaugh), The Sun (Beverley), The Sun (Pickering), Bay Horse (Stamford Bridge, York), Rose & Crown (Driffield), The Ship (Flamborough), Royal British Legion (S. Milford) to name a few.
