About this Act
Hothouse are a delightful gypsy jazz band bringing a fresh, young, hip take to this smile creating, foot-tapping genre. Ideal for background or as a centrepiece to your drinks reception/dinner, or how about the soundtrack to your dreamy walk down the aisle? (Check out their testimonials for proof!)
Created by Harry Diplock, founder of The Django Collective (which groups together some of London's top players to create and write new original music) this trio of stellar musicians came together through their shared joy in the charismatic sounds of Django Reinhardt. What sets Hothouse apart is their wondrous stage chemistry and musical instincts paired with their enduring friendships both on and off-stage. Their enjoyable sets will immediately have you dreaming of your favourite tipple, twinkling fairy lights, and friends.
The band has a few line-up options to cater for all spaces, ranging from an adorable duo right up to a party-starting 6-piece (and even beyond!) with options to add in stunning vocals. All the famous melodies of gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt coupled with a fusion of mid-century American and European sounds leads to a fresh, modern approach to the jazz and swing Hothouse love so much.
