About this Act
The Swinging 60s band consists of two male vocalist/guitarists musicians and one female vocalist/percussionist. Dave and Andy have been performing in bands together for 50 years, so they have a wealth of experience in the music industry between them. Their female vocalist, Leah, joined the band 8 years ago and adds the glamorous 60s touch to the band with her various wigs, outfits and go-go boots. She also performs the girly songs, as well as adding harmonies to the group vocals, to recreate that fab 60s sound.
The band can also offer background or disco music played during their breaks, if required. This can either follow the 60s theme or a mix of classic disco sounds, to suit the venue and event being hosted.
The Swinging 60s have an abundance of 60s material in their armory to cover requests and individual songs that people would like performed at their event. They do their utmost to fulfil the customer's criteria. As they have so many songs in their set lists they are able to put on a show that covers a wide variety of genres from the 60s era from No. 1 classics like The Beatles, The Stones, The Searchers, The Kinks, The Who, Small Faces, to name a few, to the girly artists such as Sandie Shaw, Millie, Shocking Blue, Nancy Sinatra, Connie Francis etc - there's something to please everyone who enjoys 60s music! The band will create a journey back in time, full of 60s nostalgia and memories.
