Prepare to be transported back in time to the gin bars of 1930s New Orleans and Paris with The Lana May Band.
One of the UK’s most exciting vintage style performers, Lana-May is a show-stopping musician who has performed across the country at venues and events such as Le Quecumbar, The Pheasantry, Goodwood Revival, The Crazy Coqs and The Royal Albert Hall, to name a few. With her full-bodied tone, soulful playing and high energy, coupled with a classic vintage aesthetic, Lana-May has created an authentic and utterly captivating jazz experience, perfect for glamorous soirées, Gatsby themed parties, opulent drinks receptions and much more.
With a wide range of repertoire, and an entirely unique style, Lana-May can curate the right ensemble and set to suit any occasion. Wether it be a cocktail party that requires an air of elegance and sophistication, a rip-roaring prohibition party that calls for a set of hot jazz to get people dancing, or anything in between, The Lana-May band will not disappoint!
The band comprises of multi-instrumental bandleader Lana on clarinet, soprano saxophone and violin (and sometimes ukulele!) in a trio with piano and drums or double bass, a quartet with piano, drums and double bass, or the full band quintet option with the addition of guitar/banjo.
