Ocean City Groove

Ocean City Groove are a 10 piece funk, soul and disco band which will get your groove on.

They have an energetic and engaging show and authentic live versions of funk, soul and disco classics by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Curtis Mayfield, Martha and the Vandellas, Earth Wind and Fire, Jocelyn Brown, Kool and the Gang, Lizzo and many more!

Ocean City Groove replicate the full disco force, funk explosion and silk lined soul of the classics due to their unique line up. Having both male and female lead vocalists, and three backing vocalists within the band, you can expect big choruses and harmonies galore!

Ocean City Groove have the added glitz and authenticity of a 3 piece brass section , including 2 sax players and a trumpet player and have a keyboard player with more samples than your local body shop rep. You will find no backing tracks here, just pure live musicianship! Add to this little mix, some slinky guitar adding some sparkle, you can expect a colourful sound which will fill your ears with sonic rainbows.

All of this has a foundation built to get you up dancing and shaking that tale feather, courtesy of a rhythm section born to groove. As well as having a doctor of funk on bass and a drummer with a back beat your hips can't help but move to, they have a live percussionist to add that extra special jungle boogie and put some perm in your attitude!
