The act is based in Stroud, Gloucestershire but can travel around Wales and the South of England.
Moonlighting is made up of very experienced musicians able to talk to an audience as well as charm them with nostalgic songs, vocal harmonies and swing jazz arrangements.
Usually dressed in period clothes appropriate to the era and much in demand with the growing number of enthusiasts for all things vintage and tasteful. The band is very well received at dance events having played Vintage Nostalgia, Twinwood and Retro festivals, and many others the last couple of years, and for smaller family celebrations, clubs, weddings, parties etc. Willing to travel in the south of the UK for bigger events but happy to play closer to home in south Gloucestershire for smaller functions.
The band play songs from the 1920s through to the 1960s in a Jazz style reminiscent of the small stage dance clubs from Britain, France and the USA. The line up is a combination of Piano, Clarinet, Bass, Violin, Drums and harmony vocals, ideal for the popular resurgence of Lindy Hop, collegiate shag, jive and balboa dancing and great for a party atmosphere or as incidental background music.
