Magdalena Reising

Magdalena Reising is a Scottish born grand pedal and Celtic harpist and singer who trained at Chichester College and has an BA Hons in music from Brighton University. She has composed, sung and played on many CD releases, radio performances and live concerts.

Her solo Celtic harp or pedal harp provides subtle and atmospheric elegance at special events. Her lovely voice can accompany the delicacy of the harp if required. She is also available for bookings with flautist Udita Everrett in the established harp/flute duo 'Amara'.

Magdalena plays a wide ranging repertoire from classical to popular works.

She worked as resident harpist on the Cunard line for 5 years - sailing round the world on the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria ships.

Magdalena Reising and Shane Hill have performed at Ronnie Scott's, 606 Club, Park Lane Hilton, The Cafe de Paris in the UK. Numerous theatre dates , festivals and private events throughout the world are all a part of their shared performing experience. The Blue Cafe Duo's repertoire includes popular Classical and Folk themes as well as the great American songbook (jazz and Latin standards). The material is particularly well suited to weddings , cocktail receptions and dinner parties - where some ambience is needed to enhance the occasion and mood - or festival stage concerts . The Duo can augment the sound with a saxophone , bass or piano for a trio or quartet. Arranged orchestrated shows are also possible for larger events.
