The band is based in Windsor, Berkshire and frequently play around all Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, London, Oxfordshire and the South East/South West of England
Soul Direction are an energetic, experienced and professional 6-piece function band. They play a seamless mix of smooth soul, pop, funk, disco and banging dance tunes, Soul Direction are ideal for wedding receptions, corporate events, parties and all other functions.
The band play a great selection from smooth 60s, funky 70s disco, and dance tunes from the nineties to the present day! With songs from Stevie Wonder and Sister Sledge to CeeLo Green, Beyonce and Daft Punk plus many more, this band are guaranteed to get the dance floor pumping!
From intimate boutique hotels to grand country houses and and busy city centre offices up to large festival stages, this band have played at weddings, private and corporate parties across the country. The band have performed for a wide range of clients including; Vodafone, Unilever, Deloitte, BBC, Dame Kelly Holmes legacy trust and even Duxford Imperial War Museum, under the wings of a WWII bomber!
Soul Direction is fronted by outstanding vocalist Gloria, who has had extensive session singing gigs under her belt and is also a vocal coach. Gloria was selected in the last 75 in Pop Idol 2003, in the last 10 in the VH1 Divas London Auditions, has had TV appearances on MTV and has even supported Jools Holland. Her soulful, energetic and passionate delivery combined with a great stage presence and the ability to interact with the audience makes her stand out from the crowd. Backing Gloria is an all-star band featuring guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and trumpet.
Between the members of the band they have extensive gigging experience having performed all over the world, appearing alongside and sharing stages with some major acts, including Jools Holland, Madness, The Beastie Boys, Grace Jones and Marlena Shaw.
