Based in Hatfield just outside London, The band play regularly in St Albans and Watford, but also around the Home Counties
Wesley Karr & the Automobiles set out from Tennessee in 1959, but got caught in a time warp and arrived in present day UK. Buddy Holly set off a few days ahead of them and they are still awaiting his arrival. The band were also responsible for young Elvis Presley's new rockabilly sound in 1954.
Interspersed between songs the band include anecdotes about their days with the stars of the '50s
Although there is a lot of humor between songs, they are not a comedy band. The music varies from driving rockabilly to a jivey western swing style
