Thomas is based in Guildford and regularly plays across Surrey and London.
Thomas McConville blends a wide range of genres and styles into his diverse set. Whilst the Great American Songbook is the most popular amongst his repertoire, the likes of the Beatles, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and even John Williams make appearances in his set.
All instrumental, the sound he achieves is best described as cocktail piano, but played on guitar. His soft tone and mellow, sophisticated music help develop an understated, low-key vibe that is perfect to enhance a lighter event.
An interesting point is that no two sets will ever sound the same; improvisation plays a subtle role throughout Thomas' sets as he creates melodies that seamlessly passage between songs on the spot. Every set is unique, and some of the music you hear will never be heard again.
Thomas executes these beautiful arrangements with the touch and finesse of a musician who has studied under some of the very best the country has to offer, having achieved his degree in music performance from the London Centre of Contemporary Music.
