The band are based in London.
Born in the wee small hours in various bars of east London, JB’s Casual Vices have been serving up their unique blend of New Orleans-flavoured material since 2010, with the smooth vocals and distinctive “butterfly” piano style of Caledonian bandleader JB backed up by the velvet punch of his band of Casual Vices.
The band plays an idiosyncratic and eclectic collection of jazz standards, jukebox R&B, mellifluous country songs and Jamaican rocksteady, covering the 1930s to the early 1960s and taking in numbers by Nat King Cole, Merle Haggard, Fats Domino, Phyllis Dillon, Ray Charles and many more.
