The band is based in the Central Belt of Scotland and perform frequently in this area, however the band will travel anywhere in Scotland and the UK.
The Pentlands Ceilidh band is a highly experienced lively, energetic and dynamic band who have been playing at functions and festivals all over the country for many years.
Venues the band have performed at have included Stirling Castle, Blair Castle, Gleneagles Hotel, George Square Glasgow, and also the QE2! Festivals have included Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival, Shetland Uphellya Festival, as well as making appearances at the Orkney Folk Festival, Galway Sessions, Mull Music Festival, Oban Music Festival and Jura Music Festival. The band has also travelled as far as Kuwait to play for the Kuwait Caledonian Society.
Having broadcast several times on BBC Radio Scotland's "Take The Floor", the band released their debut album in 2009 due to high demand on the back of these BBC recordings. Further BBC recordings followed this release, which along with the success of their debut album, prompted the recording and release of their follow up album in 2016.
The band continues to be in high demand for ceilidhs and festivals, and continue to support the National Accordion and Fiddle Festivals in Scotland. They were very proud to be part of the 'Pentlands Augmented Band' which won both band competitions at Perth and Grangemouth Accordion and Fiddle Festivals in 2019 and 2020.
The band's lively and energetic sound is guaranteed to get the dancers on to the dance floor to have a right good night of ceilidh dancing and to make your night a success!
