About this Act
Jude Murphy and Dan Stanley are a well-established and popular duo around North East England, performing in bars and restaurants as well as weddings and other events. Their music is laid back, classy jazz, Latin and blues driven by Dan's stunning guitar work, Jude's mellow jazzy vocals and stylish double bass playing. They are not averse to learning specific cover versions to ensure a wedding goes with a swing, and their core repertoire stretches across the Great American Songbook (eg, If I Were a Bell, Black Coffee), jazz classics from Miles Davis and Kenny Burrell, cover versions of songs by Madeleine Peyroux, Tom Waits, Diana Krall, John Martyn, Fleetwood Mac, even the Bee Gees, and infectious catchy Brazilian songs such as Corcovado, Waters of March and the highly danceable Fato Consumado.
Jude and Dan are the ideal duo if you want your wedding or event to have some really classy ambience, and we can sing you down the aisle with songs that will touch everyone's hearts.
