About this Act
Aubin Vanns is a highly skilled solo jazz guitarist based in London. Inspired by musicians such as Joe Pass, Martin Taylor and Peter Bernstein, he plays popular songs and jazz standards from the 1940s onwards. If there is a specific song you would like to be performed, it can be requested in advance.
The tone of the instrument is important and Aubin plays a vintage style, handcrafted archtop guitar, which provides the clear and warm tone that the great jazz guitarists are known for.
Aubin performs solo without the aid of backing tracks or a loop pedal, in keeping with the tradition. This music works well as background music but is also rewarding when listened to more carefully.
