About this Act
Flaming Mo are Roddy Neilson on fiddle/violin and Maureen Hunter on electroharp. Expect to hear Celtic traditional, well known classical tunes and modern pop/dance anthems in their repertoire. Playing largely for wedding ceremonies as a duo the band can become a trio with a drummer for events such as cocktail parties, birthdays and even the occasional ceilidh (caller included).
Roddy Neilson, a former Peatbog Faerie, has played fiddle/violin for over 35 years having recorded and toured with orchestras and bands playing a wide range of music including bluegrass, jazz, folk and rock.
Maureen Hunter started playing the Clarsach (harp) aged 10 and plays a 36 string electric Camac harp and a 34 string acoustic Camac harp depending on the occasion. She brings her own atmospheric sound to the duo and has unique and beautiful compositions to offer for wedding ceremonies.
