Dere Street

Dere Street are a Scottish covers and ceilidh rock band that has been running for 15 years. They have two male and two female vocalists and do dance floor classics from ABBA and the Beatles to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. They mix traditional ceilidh tunes with modern backing and can call Ceilidh dances as required. The instruments are electric violin, electric/acoustic guitar, bass and drums. One of our guitarists is also a piper so if you want your guests piped into the hall or you fancy a bit of bag rock they can do that.

Dere Stree are all professional or semi-professional musicians and bring that professional approach to any function. They supply their own PA system for events up to around 200 guests and have stage lighting all of which is PAT tested. They also have public liability insurance.

If you are planning a smaller event, want music for a ceremony or have something more traditional in mind, Dere Street can operate as a three piece combo or a duo and can perform acoustically or with small and discrete amplification.
