Nackytoosh

A passion for music and a desire to do something fresh and new with traditional dance music brought four guys with varying musical backgrounds together to form the ceilidh band Nackytoosh.

While remaining firmly rooted in a traditional framework their style explores their own varied musical influences including elements of Jazz, Latin American, Rock/Pop and Funk, blended with traditional Scottish and Irish tunes.

Nackytoosh play lively music for all of the most popular ceilidh dances, and often like to introduce one or two new or less well-known dances throughout the ceilidh - don't worry, full and clear instructions will be given!

Indeed, with the emphasis placed strongly on joining in and having fun, they call and often demonstrate each of the dances, if required, so that everyone at the ceilidh can join in - there are no excuses for sitting on the sidelines!

Nackytoosh are experienced performers and have played to ceilidh-goers all over Scotland and the North of England, so if you enjoy traditional music and dance with a modern, fresh and up-beat feel, make it a Nackytoosh ceilidh!
