Based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Jim is ideally placed to perform throughout Central Scotland. He is available to perform at venues from Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling down to the Scottish Borders. Willing to travel further on request, by prior arrangement.
Professional Guitarist Jim Conquer has been working in the music industry for over twenty five years. He has studied Jazz, Classical, Traditional Scottish Music with world class musicians / educators such as Adrian Ingram, Martin Taylor, Ron Moore and Frank Henery.
During his career he has written and performed / appeared on television, STV and BBC and has written for International Guitar magazine 'Guitar Techniques.'
He is a well respected musician who has worked in many of the most prestigious venues in Scotland including Edinburgh and Stirling castles, Macdonald and Hilton Hotels, The Old Course, Gleneagles, Cameron House, Headquarters and Officers Mess Craigiehall Barracks to name but a few.
Jim continues to work as a solo musician performimg at Wedding Ceremonies, Champagne Receptions, Wedding Dinners and Corporate Events. His ability to perform beautiful music of all genres, featured or background in an unobtrusive manner, makes Jim a favourite choice to create ambience and enhance your special occasion.
Jim also works in a Duo setting with a second guitarist, violinist or accordianist which offers a range of entertainment to suit all tastes as required.
