Stravair are based in Edinburgh, but frequently travel all over the UK. Nowhere is too far.
Stravair is a Guitar and Violin duo based in Edinburgh, ran by a couple, who specialise in arranging pop/trad/jazz/classical/indie and folk songs for acoustic guitar/vocals and violin - yes, we really play all types of music!
Laura - a Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate - adds the precision technical ability expected being the classically trained, immensely skilled musician that she is.
Aaron - a University of West London graduate (from Edinburgh) - brings feel and improvisational skill from the jazz, rock, and blues scene that he has spent his life in. Both styles and skill sets fused together create an exceptional sound, rich in traditional feel that dares to be experimental when the time is right.
Both Aaron and Laura are professional session musicians and teachers in their own right and met through the line of work. They each have years of experience playing with multiple other function bands every week including running the duo together.
The elegance of this act is unmatched. The delicate sounds created by the combination of finger-style acoustic guitar and violin make this duo perfect for any wedding ceremony, drinks reception, or corporate party.
The duo pride themselves on being able to arrange any song requested, and in record time.
The connection of this couple shines through on stage, and brings the magic this duo has to any occasion - simply the best around in the realm of classical/traditional style music.
