About this Act
Charlene Gordon is a strong female vocalist who loves performing and brings her experience and love of music to every performance. Charlene's is one of the countries strongest female vocalist's and her act is one not to miss.
Charlene began singing at an early age and realised she loved Motown and soul music. Soul music seemed to come really naturally to her and she would emulate all the soul divas. Charlene got the performance bug when she sang Eva Cassidy's version of Over the Rainbow with the fantastic Frank Bolam. Charlene then gained experience taking part in talent contests with the likes of Susan Boyle and Michelle McManus. After joining the HND course at James Watt College, Charlene was fortunate to perform with a 12 piece band in The Garage Nightclub, as well as Oran Mor, some of the top venues in Glasgow. She progressed to her degree year in Perth College where she gained more performance experience. Charlene graduated with a Second Class Honours Degree in Popular Music. During that time Charlene has also been involved with many functions bands and recording projects performing in venues all over the country for weddings and corporate events increasing her experience as a performer. Charlene Loves to sing and works hard to create the most dramatic and emotional vocal performances, she also works with the audience to create a memorable occasion.
