About this Act
Formed in 2022, The Wee Cabin Ceilidh Band is made up of experienced and talented musicians whom have been playing professional for many years.
The vast selection of songs including popular hits from top singers and bands, often with Scottish flavour, make this troupe perfect for parties and celebrations of all kinds: mixing well-known sing-along hits with a grand selection of jigs & reels for Ceilidh dancing. The band also include some traditional Scottish songs which will also be familiar with audiences.
The band play sets of ceilidh tunes: reels, hornpipes, jigs & waltzes etc for dances like The Dashing White Sergeant, Strip the Willow, the Gay Gordons and many more. An unusual feature of this band is the electric mandolin which carries all the tunes and gives a modern and lively feel to the sound.
The band is self-contained, carrying their own sound system (and spares) plus a small selection of stage lights.
