About this Act
Diva are a newly minted Edinburgh based band who perform as a female fronted quartet. Their repertoire is vast, taking in acts as varied as Led Zeppelin, Amy Winehouse, Chic and Florence and the Machine. If required, they can also provide a short ceilidh set.
The band comprises Joe Herzburg on drums who started his musical career in big bands playing swing music before moving to London to join Groove Armada in the 90's. After a five year stint playing on cruise ships around the Caribbean he's finally settled in Scotland. On bass guitar Steve Whitlock , the musician who isn't afraid to funk it up and merge musical styles to great effect. Providing the riffs and licks we have the talented Phil Hopwood on lead electric guitar. Phil cut his musical teeth playing 60's music with Merseybeat legends The Fourmost before moving to Spain to tour the Spanish islands then finally moving to Scotland to join The Gillyflowers.
Providing the Diva power house vocals is Edinburgh chanteuse Sara Forshaw. From soul, rock to disco this singer will be giving it her all in a leopard print fish tail dress.
