Rob Shaw

Rob Shaw offers well crafted instrumental guitar arrangements of classic and modern songs . Instead of performing the traditional classical repertoire, Rob focuses on romantic and feel good songs by contemporary acts such as Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynn, John Legend, McFly, The Beatles, Elton John and many more.

Guitar arrangements set a beautiful romantic backdrop to your event using songs that guests will recognize and are ideally suited to weddings. Rob can play during the ceremony as the bride enters and the happy couple sign the register, during the drinks reception as guests mingle with a glass of bubbly, and also in the wedding breakfast. However the act is equally suited to other events such as dinner parties, charity events and funerals.

Rob's set up consists of just him, an acoustic guitar and a speaker on a stand. This guarantees the guitar will be heard clearly whilst sitting in the background and not overpowering conversations. The set up is easy to transport and Rob is happy to move to different rooms or venues between sets. He has years of experience as a live musician. As well as playing solo he has played many weddings and events as part of a jazz duo and in function bands. He has a BA(Hons) degree in Popular Music and Recording and has spent over 10 years working as a guitar tutor privately and in schools.

If you have a special song that you would like played at your event that is not in his repertoire, then Rob is happy to learn and perform it for you free of charge.
