About this Act
Paolo Coruzzi is an Italian singer-songwriter, born and raised in Turin, Italy. He is a singer, songwriter and guitarist and has been writing and performing songs since the age of eight. He is now an experienced performer and has a superb repertoire of covers from acts as varied as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Oasis and Sting. He can perform either a repertoire of classical Italian and International songs accompanied by guitar (acoustic and electric) or just instrumental music (lounge, jazz, blues, folk) using solo guitar and with backing tracks.
Paolo has a unique writing style that has emerged through the long past experiences around the world, through literary studies and ongoing poetic research that allowed him to win the 1st prize of poetry at the Pirandello Stable Festival in 2012.
As well as numerous concerts and theater performances, during the recent years he has played and collaborated in a lot of venues including prestigious hotels such as the Verdura Golf & Spa Resort - Rocco Forte Hotel in Sicilia (2012-2014), Hotel baita dei Pini in Bormio (winter seasons 2013/4-2014/5), the SwissOtel in Istanbul, the Tamra Resort in Sharm, the Gemma Resort in Marsa Alam, and the Hotel Mont Blanc in Courmayeur.
He started his career in theatre and cinema in 1998 and after an intensive training period in prestigious drama schools in Torino and spent seven years acting and improving his skills in theatre direction at the Teatro Regio di Torino. He has also worked under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli, Josè Carlos Plaza, Ugo De Ana, Giuseppe Patroni Griffi and John Cox.
