About this Act
Liam Blake is an award-winning singer/songwriter, acoustic guitarist and vocalist based in the north-west of England. To date he has released two albums. His debut album was produced by renowned producer Chris Hughes (Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Dave Gilmour, Tears For Fears). Following the release of his debut Blake was voted acoustic artist of the year hi so Mojo magazine. Rolling stone magazine called him "the bitter sweet sing a song writer of the season".
Liam has over 15 years performance and recording experience and has played all over the world, holding residencies in high-profile venues. As well as performing his own critically acclaimed material and he has an extensive repertoire of popular songs from the nineteen sixties to the present day. Covering artists such as James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash and many more, Blake specialises in creating a mellow and relaxing atmosphere for your wedding, corporate event, private function or in your venue. He is an accomplished guitarist and has been featured in specialist magazines such as Akustik Gitarre. Utilising his skills as a musician and his ability to work with a loop pedal he is able to recreate entire records as well as producing tasteful soundscapes to accompany him. His voice Has received praise from singer Aled Jones, whose BBC Radio 2 show Blake appeared live on and from the awesome music critic Phil Jupitus.
