Jon Curtis Trio

Jonathan Curtis is a drummer, bandleader, composer, and music educator specialising in jazz and rhythmic composition. This trio features Jonathan on drums, plus two other musicians to form a trio appropriate for the event. This is usually a piano/keyboard and a bass, though this can vary if required. The musicians that form the trio are drawn from a network of professional colleagues and friends, all of whom play at the highest standards.

The trio focuses on instrumental jazz in the bop and post bop eras, with expressive soloing and a classy professionalism suitable for both a lively party or a more constrained corporate event. This trio specialises in simple, non-nonense sets, with few equipment needs, minimal setup time, and two 45-minute sets as standard. Due to the nature of the trio, no PA is needed, just some power to supply the amplifiers, making this a logistically simple operation.

Music is drawn from the standards repertoire, and generally chosen on the night based on the room and the nature of the event. However, special requests can be accommodated if agreed upon in advance.
