The band are based in South Manchester and frequently play throughout the North West
Formed in 2010, Manchester based LeFunk! specialise in classic motown, funk, soul and disco hits. If you are looking to bring a fun, party atmosphere to an event, be it a wedding, birthday, festival or conference, then LeFunk! will provide it with a dancefloor driven repertoire honed through years of experience.
The band is available in three formats, the 5 piece, four piece or a compact trio, making LeFunk! the perfect choice for venue sizes ranging from the corner of a bar to large hotels and concert halls!
As an add-on they can also provide classical guitar, classical piano, acoustic duo or solo vocal performances as background music during the earlier phases of an event such as the drinks reception or wedding breakfast.
By providing a DJ service, disco and stage lighting and your own microphone connected to the PA for you to make speeches and announcements LeFunk! can satisfy all your musical and PA requirements.
Given a month's notice the band will learn and play an additional song of your choice. This could be a ballad for the ‘first dance’ at a wedding, or just another dance floor classic.
Regular lead singer Laura-Jayne Hunter is naturally interactive and effortlessly charms any audience, so you can expect the dance floor to be full all night. Previous lead singer Jade still regularly performs with the band and is always available as an emergency back up. You can hear Jade singing on the demos of Moves Like Jagger and Movin' On Up. Feel free to ask for Jade as the lead singer if you prefer!
Finally be assured that LeFunk! will work with you to ensure they fit in to, rather than dictate, the flow of your event. Set lengths can be adjusted to fit in with auctions, raffle results and speeches. Clothing can be funky or formal. Arrival and set up times can usually be arranged to minimise disruption to guests. When you book LeFunk! they won't just turn up on the night and play - they'll work with you before hand to help realise your plans.
