Indie Lounge is based in the Peak District and have residencies in local restaurants, whilst regularly playing across Manchester and the Yorkshire borders.
Indie Lounge combines experienced vocalist Laura-Jayne Hunter's love of indie, pop and rock both vintage and current, with a passion for mixing it up by delivering chill-out, atmospheric arrangements of songs from her favourite artists.
Laura-Jayne Hunter trained in voice and performing arts at Manchester's Capitol Theatre where she also gained a brief but interesting taste of fame with original indie-pop outfit Mia. A desire to venture into other styles and genres of music paved her way into a number of years performing with a rock and soul function covers band as well as dabbling with disco and pop in her solo performances. A few years on, Laura-Jayne decided to go it alone and step into the world of disco and funk music, before returning to her ever-beloved indie music by developing Indie Lounge.
Indie Lounge boasts smooth, graceful vocals and delicate acoustic guitar, presenting a slick and professional sound and elegant persona. Accompaniment is provided by a guitarist or ambient, high-quality, tasteful mp3s. Ideal for a fun, alternative backdrop to a party, an interesting and sophisticated start to a wedding reception or to create a gentle atmospheric accompaniment to an evening in a bar or restaurant.
