The band are based in both Leeds and Liverpool so play regularly down the length and breadth of the M62, M1 and M6!
The Manhattan Vinyl Club are a new band featuring members of indie stars Marlowe who over the last few years have made regular appearances in NME, Q, The Guardian, Zane Lowe, MTV Rocks, Live Lounge Sessions with Jo Whiley, XFM sessions, gigs with Kasabian in the US and a whole host of other luminaries at festivals across the UK and the US.
The band now perform live and DJ at weddings and parties supplying a twist to the convention of function bands. Alongside performing classic hits, The Manhattan Vinyl Club take retro and contemporary records and give them a slight twist. How about a swing version of Blur’s “Song 2”; a rock version of "Love Machine" by Girls Aloud; or even a funk version of "We Can Work It Out" by The Beatles?
The songs are still instantly recognisable; just delivered with a slightly different swagger. Add in a female-fronted jazz style acoustic duo as part of the package and they're everything you could possibly need for your next function or big event...
The band also play as an original act called Roja and are featured on the Rhod Gilbert documentary UK's Best Part-time band.
Testimonials
Nick Roe, Wedding, April 2016
For us, the must have for our wedding on the 23rd April was a great band and MVC did not disappoint us. Simon's acoustic set during the ceremony was exactly as we had imagined it to be and when the rest of the band came for the evening they were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a better performance. They had everyone up dancing, were superb with the kids and judged the room and the crowd perfectly. So many of our guest commented how much they enjoyed the music. They made our day that bit extra special and I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a band to make the party.
Thanks for all your help through the process, you made what was a first quite a daunting job into a painless task. Freak Music is a top service and I'll be recommending you too if anyone asks how we found our band.
Sarah Gannon, Wedding, Cheshire, 4/7/15
The Manhattan Vinyl Club performed at our wedding and were absolutely brilliant. Our guests were shouting for more when the last set came to an end! So many of our guests have asked for the bands details. We would definitely book again for a future event. Thank you New York Vinyl Club! Sarah and Stephen

Thank you for providing us with our wedding entertainment, The Manhattan Vinyl Club. Your service was very efficient, you were very quick to respond to any emails and the booking process was very easy. The band were absolutely fantastic, exceeding all our expectations. Everyone commented on how friendly they were and how well they got on with all the guests. The majority of our guests were on the dancefloor by the end of the night! Their music was exactly what we wanted for our wedding, and they accommodated our playlist perfectly for the music in-between their sets. They also worked very well with the venue who imposed some last minute sound restrictions which we were not aware of before the day! Thank you again, Lucy
Matt Royal, Wedding Event, Oxford, 2/4/15
Thank you again to you all for your performances at our wedding. Both the daytime and evening were superb and all the guests were commenting how good you were. Thank you also for the gifts you gave us. There was no need. We should be the ones giving you gifts!
Thanks once again and we'll certainly keep recommending you to anyone else who is looking for a brilliant jazz duo and band.Katy Turner, Wedding Event, Cumbria
