The Average Pipe Band

Traditional Scottish pipe tribal drums band The Average Pipe Band was formed in 2020, performing throughout Scotland and further afield.

Individual Members of The Average Pipe Band have been entertaining for over 40+ years; being stalwarts of Army and Civilian Pipe bands at all levels and have been performing at tattoos, national events and a gala near you. Notable Events are The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, with tattoos in Sweden, Luxembourg, Berlin, Moscow, France, Switzerland (Basel), Nova Scotia, Germany, Belgium, Gibraltar, Lorient, Birmingham, along with Film and TV work including Hollywood films- The Railway man & Rory's Way, Scot Squad ("The Pipe major"), Specsavers advert (Pipers), The Queen Mother`s Funeral, Outlander, as well as other High-profile events and Occasions.

All members are accomplished musicians, teachers and composers in their own right, except Shaun the SHEEP.

Previous bands include The Vale of Atholl PB, Johnstone PB, Clanadonia, 7/8 Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 51st Highland Regt, 7th Batt Royal Regiment of Scotland, 32 Royal Corps of Signals PB, RAF Central Scotland PB , Coupar Angus PB, 4th Paisley BB, Bowhill PB, and the list goes on.

Combining a wide range of traditional Scottish melodies/hornpipes/jigs and reels, with a unique fusion of tribal drumming beats & rhythms, gives a high-octane delivery and performance. A must have for any event or occasion.
