Swamp River

Swamp River comprises four highly experienced musicians who have all worked together on various projects over the years. Their objective is to play a mixture of Swamp Rock, Blues, Soul, Funk, Country and Gospel music, exemplified by the work of 1960s and early 1970s global hit makers Creedence Clearwater Revival, and their principal songwriter John Fogerty.

All four band members have made their mark on the Americana/Roots music scene, some as soloists in their own right, as well as working with such musicians, singers and bands as guitarists James Burton (Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Emmylou Harris etc), Jerry Donahue (Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Gerry Rafferty, The Proclaimers), Albert Lee (Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell), Otis Grand, Louisiana bluesman Lazy Lester, Scottish Rock and Blues diva Maggie Bell, Queen of British contemporary Folk music Eliza Carthy, and the internationally renowned Blues 'n' Trouble.

Having discussed the project for some time, the stars have now aligned and Swamp River are communicating their love of, and enjoyment in playing, the wonderful catalogue of hits and favourites, still popular with audiences all around the world, of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty.
