James is based in Sunderland and can play throughout the entire North East and more including Newcastle, Durham, Darlington, Lancaster, Cumbria, York.
James Berry is an acoustic Folk/Indie/Country artist from Sunderland, who prides himself with his natural energy and passion for performance on stage. He will put everything into each and every performance he gives, and ensures all who have watched and listened leave the room with a smile on their face. Having played 100's of gigs around the UK and Europe, he is certainly not a stranger to the stage, and his experience has gained himself a repertoire filled with 100's of songs, stretching from many decades and Genres.
For a solo artist, James can really pack a punch. He has been described by NE Volume magazine as “heartfelt, sentimental and touching", and after performing at the Sunderland international Airshow, BBC Newcastle DJ Anna Fosters complimented him at the end of his set with extravagance saying "What a voice!" With first hand influences such as Bob Dylan, Jonny Cash and Ryan Adams, he will entertain and also intrigue with a mix of powerful vocals and intrinsic guitar playing. He is always entertaining the masses, which has given him 100's of songs for his repertoire. These days, there is not much songs he can't play!
James’s acoustic sets are arranged to ensure a unique live performance that is suitable for all kinds of events; such as Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings and more. From slow traditional songs, to more recent artist covers, his personal touch gives entirely unique versions of songs you know and love. Acclaimed for his style, James has developed a huge repertoire with 100' of songs that is guaranteed to have something for everyone. Any particular songs can be requested and James is more than happy to make special arrangements upon request.
