Bryden and Mathews

Bryden and Mathews are a young dynamic duo of flute and guitar who strive to provide nothing but the highest quality of music-making for any event. As graduates of both the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, they are committed to delivering exceedingly high standards of performance. Although classically trained, Bryden and Mathews are also happy to accommodate any particular requests that you may have for your event, ranging from classical right through to the present day.

Both players have extensive performance experience in key venues around London and internationally. Flute player Lindsay Bryden has performed in numerous prestigious venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields and the National Arts Centre of Canada. Guitarist Cassandra Mathews has also played at the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room and Queen Elisabeth Hall. As a duo, they have taken to performing in churches such as St Giles-without-Cripplegate and St Mary-le-Bow and can be seen regularly around Central London playing together and as soloists.

Bryden and Mathews have a particularly keen interest in the music of South America and are familiar with the works of tango masters such as Piazzolla and Pujol. They are also very proficient in making their own arrangements of pieces and enjoy experimenting across styles, such as jazz and improvisation. A lively and well polished act that will be happy to perform for any event to make it extra special.
