About this Act
The Last Drop Ceilidh Band is a three-piece band comprising Piano Accordion, Fiddle and Double-bass, and we also bring a caller. Two of the band are originally from Edinburgh (the 'Last Drop' is a pub in the Grassmarket) so perform a Scottish style of music and the callers know a wide variety of dances from various traditions to keep the evening swinging along. All the favourites such as Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow etc . They are also accustomed to playing some background music while people rest and recharge their glasses.
