About this Act
The Sassenachs Ceilidh Band are a funky London-based foursome that mix traditional Scottish music with more modern grooves.
They believe ceilidh dancing appeals to audiences of all ages and abilities, and is the best way to celebrate any event. Sometimes called a barn dance, or just Scottish dancing, a night with the Sassenachs ceilidh band involves fun, simple steps which are easy for all to learn. Before each dance, their expert caller ensures participants are walked through the steps as slowly, or as quickly, as required so everyone knows what is about to happen!
Each song is driven by traditional Scottish violin music along with guitar, bass and drums to give the sound a more contemporary twist.
