The band are based near Caernarfon and frequently play across, Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey and the North West of England.
Twmpathology are a ceilidh, barn dance band based in the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales. 'Twmpath' is the welsh word for ceilidh, hence the name. The band play a mixture of lively tunes for dancing, the odd self-penned song and some traditional from the British Isles and beyond. Being dancers themselves as well as musicians, they know how to get those feet moving and their caller will guide everyone through the dances with his own brand of humour and ensure everyone has a great time and they also perform a variety of songs in between the dancing from folk and popular genres.
The set up is fiddle, accordion, guitar and bass and their caller also adds percussion. 2014 saw Twmpathology performing at Cecil Sharp House in London at the Hwyl St. David's Day festival and also at the Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons.
