“The One Eyed Cats specialise in high energy rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and generally anything good fun.”
The band deliver their high-quality music with only one motive – to have and provide absolute enjoyment. However, this is not a novelty band – everything they do is always with absolute conviction. When somebody goes to see The One Eyed Cats, they’re not just going to see a band – they’re going to see a complete show.
On the outside, the One Eyed Cats are a light-hearted and humorous act which people really do enjoy. On the inside, they are certainly one very hard working band.
The One Eyed Cats are a lively 5 - 7-piece, including a swinging brass section and a lot of enjoyment. Their music is always delivered with a high level of energy and an amazing level of quality.
The One Eyed Cats have a huge range of music in their repertoire. Their set, always tailored to the particular venue or event, features some of the following artists and styles: Starting right back in the 40's with the likes of some of the blues greats – Big Joe Turner, Louis Jordan and Wynonie Harris to name a few, Jump- Jive fans are entertained with this infectious style of timeless and stylish music. Moving through the rock and roll greats of Elvis, Chuck Berry and Frankie Vaughan, everybody is ensured a-rockin' good time.
The setlist then goes through the 60's sounds of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, entertains the audience with the sounds of the '70s, and just keeps on going through the '80s and up to today.
That’s why one of their familiar phrases to the audience is “Don’t rule out hearing absolutely anything at a One Eyed Cats performance and don’t be surprised when you enjoy it.”
