The band are based in Kirriemuir, Angus, and frequently play all over Scotland and the north of England. They have also perform regularly in Europe and can call ceilidhs in German and French!
Formed in 2007, and gigging regularly since then, Dancing Feet Ceilidh band are a multi instrumentalist band that offer a broad repertoire of dances and music. Their infectious style and energetic performance suits all occasions from weddings and festivals to corporate events and birthday parties. The band consist of professional musicians whose passion for folk music and dance drives the evening and ensures that everyone is enthralled.
Line up consists of Kate Badcock on flute/alto sax/ backing vocals and calling, Roddy Johnston on fiddle/bagpipes/vocals/guitar/cajon and loop pedal. The diversity of instruments leads to performances which are exciting and variable, and means that the band can adapt to many situations and provide appropriate entertainment.
The unique sound of Dancing Feet is created by making live loops, all done whilst the dancers are invited to the floor, making a full band sound with only two, albeit very versatile musicians.
Dancing Feet also perform stage sets with a mix of songs and tunes, and with a piper in their midst are the perfect choice for Burns' nights or Hogmanay.
The band also offer wedding packages, and can include piper, ceremony music, drinks reception/wedding breakfast, evening ceilidh and use of PA for your own playlist .
