About

Ilona Mejia is an experienced and qualified guitarist based in Edinburgh. She performs regularly at corporate functions and weddings throughout Scotland, and is able to provide a unique and relaxed atmosphere for special occasions. Her repertoire is varied, including Spanish, classical, contemporary, and Scottish. This can be tailored to suit the event and she is able to arrange specific pieces given notice, for a special moment, eg. walking down the aisle.

Ilona graduated with honours from Aberdeen University, and has since been awarded a Diploma in Music from the Open University. She has also achieved qualifications at both Diploma and Licentiate levels in Guitar Performance through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

In the course of her studies Ilona has performed in masterclasses given by world famous guitarists, including David Russell, Maximo Diego Pujol, and John Mills.
